Make Your Own Liquid Eyeliner Fluid

If you are like me, you probably have a ton of favourite eyeshadows and would love to have an eyeliner in the same colour. Now you can! With two ingredients you can turn your loose or pressed powdered eyeshadows into a liquid eyeliner.

All you need is a sterile, small bottle (that dispenses in drops), glycerin and water. That's it! If you don't have a bottle no worries. Mix the ratio of 1 part glycerin and 2 parts water on a piece of foil or small container and dip your eyeliner brush into it then run your brush along the pressed eyeshadow to pick up the pigment. If you are using loose powder, shake a bit of powder into a container and mix the liquid into the powder with your brush.

This liquid eyeliner glides on easily allowing you to create sharp lines and control the colour density. Layer the eyeliner until you achieve the depth of colour that you like. The Recipe is detailed below.

Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 Part Glycerin

  • 2 Parts Water

  • 1 Small bottle (or any small container to mix the fluid in if using as-you-go)

Add the glycerin and water to your bottle. Shake before each use.

For Pressed Eyeshadows:

Dispense one or two drops onto the back of your hand or small container and dip your eyeliner brush into it. Run your brush along the pressed eyeshadow to pick up the pigment and apply to your eyelid.

For Loose Eyeshadow Powder:

Shake a bit of powder into a container and mix one or two drops of the liquid into the powder with your brush. Apply to your eyelid.
